We now shift from Canadian instrumental guitar records to Danish instrumental guitar records.

This was actually put out on Atlantic in 1962. According to the liner notes, Ingmann had a hit with a cover of "Apache" (not on this record) and "made all of his special-effect and multi-track recordings in a completely-equipped studio which he set up himself".

Thus the title of the record, The Many Guitars of Jorgen Ingmann. Multi-track recording was still pretty new in 1962, so the fact that you're hearing several guitar parts all played by one person was still a point of interest. He gets a lot of different sounds and this album is pretty close to being a novelty record. In general it's too perky and chirpy for my taste.

Ingmann does a few soundtrack pieces, such as "Bonanza", "High Noon" and "The Third Man Theme". He also does John Barry's "Sweet Talk" from the Stringbeat album.
