This new Bear Family release, Phil Phillips: "Sea of Love", is one of the best CDs I've ever heard.

What a great voice Phillips had! He was a great songwriter, too, as demontrated by "Sea of Love" and some others on here. There's some great guitar playing and interesting combinations of rock and roll, doo-wop and pop elements. I thought I'd never want to hear "Unchained Melody" again but the Phil Phillips version on this CD makes it sound new.
